For Andrew, coffee isn’t just a business—it’s a lifelong passion. With 15 years of experience working in cafés and restaurants, he understands what makes a café special: great coffee, warm service, and a space where people feel at home. 

After working in the industry for years, Andrew opened King Bean Café three and a half years ago, bringing his expertise and love for hospitality to Wantirna. 


What makes King Bean Café special? 

If you ask the locals, they’ll tell you—it’s all about the coffee and the people. Andrew and his team take pride in serving consistently delicious, high-quality coffee, always made with love. 


King Bean keeps prices fair and avoids extra surcharges, even on Sundays, making it a favourite among regulars who appreciate both quality and value. 

But it’s not just about the coffee. The café is built on a strong sense of community—from friendly chats with baristas to the familiar faces that return every morning, it’s a place where everyone feels welcome.

Over the last three and a half years, he has built strong relationships with customers and has become a familiar face in the neighbourhood. “It’s my pleasure to be here,” he says. “Wantirna is such a lovely place, and I’ve really enjoyed my time serving this community.” 


What’s next for King Bean Café? 

While Andrew isn’t focused on fancy renovations or big expansions, his goal remains simple: keep serving top-quality coffee and continue creating a space where customers feel valued. 


“We may not be the best-looking café out there,” he admits, “but we truly care about our customers—and that makes all the difference.”
