Lorna – Ferntree Gully
For more than 25 years, Josh and Omar have dedicated their lives to hospitality, working in restaurants, bars, and hotels across Australia and overseas. Always dreaming of opening their own café, they finally found the right opportunity, and Lorna was born. Located at 1053 Burwood Hwy, Ferntree Gully, the café has quickly become a beloved local spot.
Always evolving, always exceptional
At Lorna, the ever-evolving menu is crafted by a talented team of chefs, led by Executive Chef Rob Hawke. Guests enjoy coffee from Industry Beans, crafted by highly trained baristas, alongside seasonal dishes and freshly made treats, from sauces and dressings to jams, cakes, and cookies. Lorna sources premium local ingredients, including free-range eggs, artisan bread, and produce from trusted butchers and growers, ensuring every dish is made with attention to detail and quality in mind.

In 2023, Lorna made history as the first-ever Café of the Year in the Good Food Guide, a testament to their commitment to excellence. Expanding into the shop next door has been an exciting milestone, one made possible by the support of the community.

Josh and Omar are focused on continuing to serve great food and coffee while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that guests love.
