Tucked away on Dorset Road, Macchiato Lounge is more than just a café, it’s a place to pause, recharge, and enjoy food made with pride and authenticity. Owner Ali opened the café in July 2025, bringing with him a lifelong passion for cooking and a family legacy of cake makers and chefs. For Ali, food has always been at the heart of connection, and Macchiato Lounge is his way of sharing that passion with the Boronia community.
Inspired by food, driven by passion
Ali’s journey into hospitality began with his deep love of food and cooking. Coming from a family renowned for their skills in the kitchen, opening his own café felt like a natural step. After working in the industry and building his experience, Ali launched Macchiato Lounge, where he could blend his skills with his vision for a warm and welcoming community space.
Though the café is still young, Ali already has four years of hospitality experience behind him and a clear purpose, to serve fresh, healthy, and affordable meals in an environment where people can relax and feel at home.
