MyonationBoronia

Located in Boronia, Myonation is a locally owned myotherapy clinic helping people move better, feel stronger, and address the root cause of their pain. Founded by Buffy Dillon, Myonation combines evidence-based manual therapy with a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

From passion to practice

Buffy’s journey into myotherapy began nearly two decades ago. Starting her career as a Remedial Massage Therapist, she was drawn to the profession by a genuine desire to help people manage and overcome physical pain and discomfort.

After working alongside osteopaths for more than ten years, Buffy made the decision to take the next step and open her own clinic. With a loyal client base already in place, launching Myonation allowed her to create a practice that aligned with her values, offering high-quality care while achieving greater flexibility and work–life balance. Myonation has now been operating for just over two years, continuing to grow through strong word-of-mouth referrals.

A holistic, science-based approach

What sets Myonation apart is its science-driven approach to manual therapy. While hands-on treatment remains a core focus, Buffy’s practice extends beyond traditional remedial massage. Sessions may also include exercise prescription, education, and practical advice, helping clients address the underlying causes of pain rather than just treating the symptoms.

This holistic model allows Myonation to support people with a wide range of physical concerns, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs and long-term outcomes.

A calm and welcoming experience

Operating from Salts of the Earth in Boronia, Myonation offers a calm, welcoming environment focused on natural healing. Clients can expect a friendly, professional experience where they feel listened to, supported, and empowered in their health journey.

Many clients value the personalised care and the genuine relationships built over time, something that has helped the business grow largely through referrals rather than advertising.

Proudly based in Boronia

For Buffy, Boronia is more than just a business location, it is a place that feels deeply connected to her daily life and the community she serves. Working close to home and family has made the suburb an ideal place to grow Myonation. She values the strong sense of community and the trust shown by local clients who continue to support her business.

Looking ahead

While Myonation currently operates as a solo clinic, Buffy has a vision for the future. She hopes to eventually expand into a wellness centre, bringing together complementary practitioners to support holistic health under one roof.

One thing many people may not realise is that Myonation doesn’t advertise heavily, despite operating five days a week from its Dorset Road location. This “hidden gem” status has only strengthened the close-knit, community-focused nature of the business.
