With five and a half years under its belt, this local favorite has carved out a niche for itself, offering the kind of food and coffee that keeps people coming back.
How it all started
Owner Niall saw a gap in the local café scene, too many places trying to do it all, but not enough businesses focusing on their craft. Instead of following the crowd, he set out to create something different: a bagel and deli experience paired with top-tier coffee.
His journey into the industry was a mix of timing and opportunity. With a partner who was a stellar barista and a passion for doing things differently, the duo took the leap and opened Milki and Miller. The café launched just months before the world was turned upside down by COVID, but through resilience and a loyal customer base, they powered through.
What makes Milki and Miller unique?
Proud to be the OG bagel shop in Knox, Milki and Miller isn’t about fast food, it’s about good food. The focus is on quality ingredients, great coffee, and a no-nonsense approach to service.

Having grown up in Knox, Niall knows the area inside and out, he’s played sports, worked, and supported local businesses here his entire life. The community is made up of kind, honest people, and the support from locals has helped Milki and Miller thrive.
Looking to the future
There are big plans on the horizon, but for now, they’re keeping things under wraps. One thing’s for sure, Milki and Miller will continue to serve up some of the best bagels and coffee in Boronia while staying true to what makes them special.
