Victoria Elixir Coffee Roasters – Boronia

Owner Khac Phuc Tran started the café and roastery in 2019 with a vision inspired by his roots in Vietnam, where “grabbing a coffee” is more than just a drink, it’s a way to begin friendships, conversations, and even big decisions. When he settled in Boronia, Khac Phuc wanted to recreate that same atmosphere, a welcoming place where people can come together over great coffee and food.
A blend of tradition and innovation
What makes Victoria Elixir Coffee Roasters unique is their authentic Vietnamese coffee beans, sourced directly from Vietnam’s renowned coffee-growing regions of Cầu Đất and Đắk Lắk. Carefully selected and roasted in-house, these beans deliver a bold, fruity, and smooth flavour unlike anything else in the area. For those wanting to try something different, their egg coffee is a must a rich, creamy specialty that many customers seek out as soon as they return from Vietnam.
But it’s not just the coffee that keeps people coming back. The menu blends traditional Vietnamese dishes with modern Australian brunch favourites. From a comforting bowl of Phở or Roast Pork on Vermicelli, to eggs on toast or a fresh calamari salad, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

More than a café, a community hub
Since opening just before the challenges of Covid, Victoria Elixir Coffee Roasters has been supported by the Boronia community through every step. The wide, spacious café with plenty of outdoor seating is now a favourite local meeting spot. Whether its families gathering for weekend brunch, friends catching up, or someone enjoying a quiet moment with a takeaway coffee, the space is designed to make everyone feel welcome.
As Khac Phuc explains. "It’s no longer just about coffee or culture, it’s about connecting, sharing, and creating experiences that touch people’s lives, including my own.”
Rooted in Boronia, inspired by community
Living and working in Boronia has been a refreshing change for Khac Phuc, who previously worked as a business director in Vietnam. The mountains, the slower pace, and most of all, the strong community spirit make Boronia feel like home.
Over the years, he has seen regulars become friends, couples turn into families, and children grow up alongside the café. These milestones reflect the heart of Victoria Elixir Coffee Roasters which is a place where people don’t just enjoy food and coffee but create memories.
Looking ahead
While the café continues to thrive, Khac Phuc’s next goal is to share his hand-picked, roasted Vietnamese coffee beans with even more people, not just in Boronia, but beyond. He also wants to keep experimenting with new dishes and drinks, so there’s always something fresh and exciting for customers to try.
Above all, Victoria Elixir Coffee Roasters remains committed to authenticity, creativity, quality, and community care. Every meal and every cup served is crafted with passion, ensuring visitors leave not just satisfied, but connected.
